How to Claim zXMR After a ZeroFi XMR Deposit
After an XMR deposit, zXMR is claimed by completing the bridge’s mint step on Sepolia; confirmation time, wallet choice and gas determine what to do next.

To claim zXMR after a ZeroFi XMR deposit, wait for the deposit to clear, then complete the mint step with the same Ethereum Sepolia wallet used to start the bridge. That final step creates zXMR, an Ethereum token backed by deposited Monero. Sending XMR to the deposit address starts the process; it does not, by itself, put zXMR in your wallet. The zerofi guide covers deposit timing and fees in more detail.
What do you need before claiming zXMR?
You need access to the bridge session, the EVM wallet address entered when you began, and some Sepolia ETH for the mint transaction’s network fee, also called gas. Sepolia is Ethereum’s test network. The live ZeroFi interface identifies the current XMR-to-zXMR route as XMR to Ethereum Sepolia and lists a 0.01 XMR minimum deposit. It also shows the zXMR token address; check the interface before adding a token manually, since contract addresses can change.
Before moving on, check that:
- Your XMR transaction went to the deposit address generated for this bridge request.
- The connected wallet is the same destination wallet you entered when creating that request.
- That wallet is set to Ethereum Sepolia and has enough test ETH to pay gas.
If you used a wallet app or exchange to send XMR, check its transaction record for the Monero transaction ID. You may need that information to identify the deposit if the bridge has not detected it yet.
When does the mint button appear?
The mint option appears after the bridge registers the deposit and its required checks are complete. ZeroFi’s interface currently lists 10 source-chain confirmations for deposits and payouts, plus 10 sweep confirmations. A confirmation is a block added after a transaction; the sweep is the bridge’s movement of deposited XMR through its processing system. These steps take time, and the interface may update after the Monero wallet shows the transaction as sent.
Keep the bridge page open or return to the same request. Watch its status until the deposit is detected and the mint action becomes available. If it remains pending, check the XMR transaction ID and the deposit address first. Sending another deposit while the first is still processing can create a second bridge request and another wait.
How do you claim the zXMR?
When the request is ready, connect the destination wallet and choose the mint action shown for that deposit. Review the wallet prompt: it should be a transaction on Sepolia associated with the bridge, not a request to reveal a seed phrase or private key. Confirm it, then wait for the transaction to be included on Sepolia. The resulting zXMR should appear in the connected wallet; if it does not, check the token list and the contract address displayed by ZeroFi.
There are two separate waits here. Monero confirmations and the bridge’s sweep happen before minting. The Sepolia transaction happens after you approve the mint and can also take time. A pending wallet transaction usually means the mint has not finished; avoid repeating it until you can see whether the first transaction succeeded.
What should you do if zXMR does not arrive?
Check the bridge request status and the Sepolia transaction history for the connected wallet. If the bridge still shows the XMR deposit as unconfirmed, allow more time and compare the transaction ID with your Monero wallet record. If the deposit is complete but no mint action appears, reconnect the same wallet and reload the request. If the mint transaction succeeded but the balance is not visible, verify the displayed zXMR contract address before adding it as a custom token.
ZeroFi’s current interface is marked v0.1 and describes a Sepolia route. Treat the flow as testnet bridging, not as a claim for an airdrop or a guarantee that zXMR has a market value. The practical rule is simple: verify the deposit, finish the separate mint transaction, and confirm the token on the same Sepolia wallet.
